UKクラブ・カルチャーとインディ・ロックの総決算にして、最新鋭、Jamie xx、ついに参上！

ポスト・ダブステップな2010年代を象徴するバンド、The xx。FKAツイッグスやSBTRKTなど、いまや若きスター軍団となった、〈XLレコーディングス〉傘下の〈Young Turks〉のその勢いの先駆けとなったアーティストだ。ジェイミー・エックス・エックスは、まさにそのバンドの頭脳として、DJカルチャーとインディ・ロックを結びつける存在だ。ソロではダンス・ミュージックのクリエイター、そしてDJとしてポスト・ダブステップなベース・ミュージック～UKG～ハウスと、いわば現在のUKクラブ・カルチャーの最前線において活動しているアーティストだ。現在のUKのミュージック・カルチャー全般を象徴する存在と言えるだろう。共演は、ジェイミーと同様、現在のUKベース・ミュージック＆ハウスなシーンの筆頭とも言えるBEN UFOのリクエストによるバック２バックも好評だったDJ NOBU。そして、ジェイミーと同世代の若きDJとして東京のベース・ミュージック由来のグルーヴを聴かせる、EXS(NTB)が参戦。そして、ご存知ミスター・ハウス・オブ・リキッド、ムードマンが参戦する。UKの現状の”ハウス”を感じる、そしてポップ・カルチャーの鋭利なるサウンドの最前衛を感じるのであれば、このハウス・オブ・リキッド、みのがせるわけがない。

今回のHOUSE OF LIQUID、2Fは新春の新たな世代も、そしてファッションやインディー・ロックの新たな風を迎え入れるニギニギしくも多種多様な宴に。カウントダウンにも参加の才女、Licaxxxをはじめ、PHIRE WIRE率いるKIRI、インディ・ロック周辺のシーンからはmichihiko ishidomaru、LAの人気レーベルNot Not Funからもリリースし海外でも活動するSapphire Slows、そして謎多き集団「BACON」の一員としてC.EのパーティでVJなどもこなす、オブスキュア・ディガー、pooteeと盛りだくさんでございます。

2010年に英国のミュージック・アワードの最高峰であるマーキュリー・プライズを受賞したThe xxのメンバー兼プロデューサーとしてバンドのブレインであり気鋭のプロデューサーでもあるジェイミー・エックス・エックス（Jamie xx）。2009年にThe xxとしてXL傘下のYoung Turksと契約を結び8月にシングル「Basic Space」でデビュー、同年に発表したデビュー・アルバム『xx』が主要音楽メディアで話題となる。2011年には伝説の詩人ギル・スコット・ヘロンによる13年振りの最新作『アイム・ニュー・ヒア』をリワーキング、ジェイミーによるオシャレダークでスタイリッシュなダンストラックに、戦う詩人と言われるギルの魂の言葉が突き刺さるクラブミュージック、ロック、ソウル、ジャズの要素が混じり合ったコラボレーション・アルバムを発表、ポスト・ガラージやダブステップなど様々なリミックスを手掛けるソロ・アーティストとしてもその評価を不動のものとしている。そして2014年5月には3年ぶりの新曲「Girl」と「Sleep Sound」を、6月には「All Under One Roof Raving」をYoung Turksよりリリース。DJとしてもLondon, Paris, New York, Hamburg, Dublin, Bristolを始め世界中をまわっている。

FUTURE TERROR、Bitta主宰／DJ。NOBUの活動のスタンスをひとことで示すなら、”アンダーグラウンド”――その一貫性は今や誰もが認めるところである。とはいえそれは決して1つのDJスタイルへの固執を意味しない。非凡にして千変万化、ブッキングされるギグのカラーやコンセプトによって自在にアプローチを変え、自身のアンダーグラウンドなリアリティをキープしつつも常に変化を続けるのがNOBUのDJの特長であり、その片鱗は、[Dream Into Dream](tearbridge), [ON](Musicmine), [No Way Back](Lastrum), [Creep Into The Shadows](Underground Gallery)など、過去リリースしたミックスCDからも窺い知る事が出来る。近年は抽象性の高いテクノ系の楽曲を中心に、オーセンティックなフロアー・トラック、複雑なテクスチャーを持つ最新アヴァン・エレクトロニック・ミュージック、はたまた年代不詳のテクノ／ハウス・トラックからオブスキュアな近代電子音楽など、さまざまな特性を持つクセの強い楽曲群を垣根無くプレイ。それらを、抜群の構成力で同一線上に結びつける。そのDJプレイによってフロアに投影される世界観は、これまで競演してきた海外アーティストも含め様々なDJやアーティストらから数多くの称賛や共感の意を寄せられている。最近ではテクノの聖地”Berghain”を中心に定期的にヨーロッパ・ツアーを行っているほか、台湾のクルーSMOKE MACHINEとも連携・共振し、そのネットワークをアジアにまで拡げ、シーンのネクストを模索し続けている。

NOBU’s stance as a DJ can be best described as underground — his persistence is undisputed. However, that should not be confused with stylistic inflexibility. Rather, his approach is singular and ever-changing, constantly modified and adjusted to the quality and the concept of each gig he plays. He keeps it all underground, yet he manages to mutate it. It is this ability that makes him stand out, as can be heard on his official mixes such as [Dream Into Dream] (tearbridge), [ON] (Musicmine), [No Way Back] (Lastrum) and [Creep Into The Shadows] (Underground Gallery.)
In recent years, he has been programming his set around highly abstract techno with authentic floor anthems, textured avant-electronic music as well as unknown house tracks, along with even more obscure contemporary electronic pieces. He excels in threading challenging tracks from his wide repertoires into a compelling story.
What he could present on the dance floor with his DJ set has gained much love and applause, even among many international acts he shared the stage with. Lately, he has been touring regularly to Europe including several appearances at the techno institution Berghain, collaborating with Smoke Machine crew from Taiwan, building his network worldwide to explore his new frontiers.

2005年頃から東京を中心にDJ活動を開始。自身のレーベル「Neo Tokyo Bass」でパーティや楽曲のリリースを企画しながら海外アーティストのサポートや国内外ツアーをして活動中。2014年にはプロダクションチーム「mo’lifetokyo」を始動し、恵比寿Time Out Cafe & Dinerにて東京を中心に活動するデザイナーやクリエイターのオフラインショップと題して【P.O.P】開催。

Neo Tokyo Bass formed in 2010, Neo Tokyo Bass is a cross-continental record label & bass music production & DJ crew that consists of Glasgow & Tokyo based founding members Korkoro, Endless & Crash, along with later additions Gyto & Skyfish. Over the last two years they’ve worked collectively and relentlessly to construct the proper output for the sound of NTB. The crew released a series of 6 free EP’s, with sounds spanning from spaced out beats and bass to mutant house and hip-hop variations. Its some of the most exciting music to come out of Tokyo right now and we are every excited to be joined.

80年代末に活動開始。高橋透、宇川直宏とタッグを組んだ〈GODFATHER〉、〈HOUSE OF LIQUID〉、〈SLOWMOTION〉等のレジデントパーティーの他、TAICOCLUB、Freedommune、Raw Lifeなど、インディペンデントな屋外フェスへ多数出演。記念すべき第一回のDJを担当したDommuneでは、自身の番組＜Moodommune＞を不定期で放送している。2013年、約6年ぶりにオフィシャルミックスCD『SF mixed by MOODMAN』を発表した。

Moodman is an Japanese DJ, and founder of DUB RESTAURANT label. His career has started from late ’80’s. His residency GODFATHER (together with Toru Takahashi and Naohiro Ukawa known as DOMMUNE), SLOWMOTION and HOUSE OF LIQUID has long been a favorite parties by night-birds in Japan. He has also played at a type of independent parties and festivals such as TAICOCLUB, FREEDOMMUNE and legendary RAW LIFE party. He was the memorable first DJ of internet broadcasting station DOMMUNE. Thereafter, he has been put a his own program “MOODOMMUNE” on the air randomly. In 2013 he released his official mix CD [SF mixed by MOODMAN] for the first time in 6 years.

1997年に友人とREVOLVERを始める。2008年にセレクトショップ「YES」を原宿、2014年には米ロサンゼルスにオープン。デザイナーとして活躍する傍ら、ショップの音楽ディレクションなども手掛ける。2014年10月18日のVERSUS TOKYOでは新ブランドPHIRE WIREのコレクションを発表した。

三宿WebをホームにUK、US、EUのストリートでまさに今鳴っているIndie、Punk、Electronicシーンとリンクしたパーティー”FISH”オーガナイザー。Indieを軸にした最新のトラック、7inchを出したばかりのPunkバンドから数百枚しかでていない12inch Experimental Danceまでの振り幅をストリート解釈の感覚でまとめあげるVinyl DJ。”FISH”ではこれまでにもTOGA VIRILISでのショーも記憶に新しいDirty Beaches、Sacred Bones RecordsからリリースしたPharmakon、Ice Age、Vårなどの中心人物Elias RonnenfeltがLiveで参加。またDJではMinks(Captured Tracks)、Hannes(Lust For Youth)、US Indieアーティストを常にフォローアップするヴィジュアルアーティストCali Thornhill Dewittも出演。

1991年生まれのDJ、ビートメイカー。ビートミュージックを中心にファンキーかつ骨太なプレイを心がけたDJスタイルで都内を中心に全国のあらゆるジャンルのパーティーに出演。オーバーグラウンドな活動をしながらもアンダーグラウンドなプレイに注目が集まっている。また楽曲制作、JetSetでのDJチャート、block.fmにてレギュラー番組”SEXY808”のパーソナリティなど音楽にまつわる様々な活動を行う。

東京在住の若きソロ・プロデューサー。シンセサイザー、打ち込み、サンプリングなどを使い作り上げたトラックに浮遊感のあるヴォーカルをのせ、実験的でありながらも美しく耳に残る独特な世界を作り出していく。2011年に寝室で楽曲制作を開始し、アメリカと日本の名門インディー・レーベルからデビュー。瞬く間に世界中のアンダーグラウンド・シーンから注目を集め、すでに２度の北米ツアーとヨーロッパツアーを行うなど海外でも勢力的に活動中。
